Nancy For Frank

We've mentioned this excellent program on The Frank Truth time and again, but if you've not yet listened to Nancy For Frank on Sirius/XM, you really owe it to yourself to catch the encore broadcast Thursday night at 9PM Eastern. This week's episode of the program is four full hours of fantastic Sinatra recordings, many of them ballads.

By "ballads" I mean "gorgeous, heart-wrenching ballads" of the sort for which Frank Sinatra is most noted. These recordings are the ones that set the standard for all other renditions.

I listened Sunday afternoon, and once again yesterday, and I'll listen again tomorrow evening. This show is always the best thing on the radio all week, but this particular episode is magic.

If you're not a Sirius/XM Radio subscriber, I believe you can still get their free trial to listen online.

Remembering Frank Sinatra

Francis Albert Sinatra passed from this life on May 14, 1998. On this solemn anniversary, I'll be spending much of the day listening to Siriusly Sinatra and reflecting on his life and legacy.

If you've never visited the Sinatra Family site, it's a fine day to start. Some of the nicest people in the world are on the forums there, and the spirit of the place is a beautiful tribute to Mr. Sinatra.

Here are some links to other posts on our site that might be apropos for the day.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Sinatra family today, and especially with Mrs. Sinatra.

Come Fly Away | Meet The Dancers

I found this video featuring the dancers of Come Fly Away to be most interesting.

The best quote is from Matthew Stockwell Dibble. "I'm in New York City. I'm on Broadway. I'm working with Twyla Tharp, and I'm dancing to Frank Sinatra. C'mon! Does it get better?"

We'll be focusing on the musical for the next episode of The Frank Truth.
