Podcast of February 24th, 2006 - Sirius Broadcast of March 1st

Our first show was February 19th, 2005. It was awful, but my heart was in the right place.

I actually started Podcasting on February 7th, with Verbum Domini.

We've got a review of Movin' With Nancy from Gus in Toronto.
Moving with Nancy is about the space between ways of being....

This space occupied by tension- a healthy fueling tension; between generations, attitudes, tastes, lovers.....

This is the inevitable tension which has fueled romance though the ages - Romeo and Juliet, Anthony & Cleopatra, Frank and Ava. Here Nancy and Lee bring it to life. Both vibrant, young and wanting, still they see the world differently - Nancy's emerging psychedelic sensibilities and Lee's outlaw libertinism - if only Jackson!

There is the tension between her restlessness and the gentle protection offered by her uncle Dean. He is magic and he knows it. He swaggers like no other man yet Nancy, young, talented, beautiful and determined has her own swagger. It's new - takes from the past and leaps into the unknown to create something never before seen. Years before, her Dad created a new image of the urban immigrant male and in doing so become a dad to all of us who seek a full, meaning life - a life complete with wild passion and the liberation of desire and unwavering, care, compassion and loyalty. Now Nancy does the same for herself - A powerful, liberated women...in a field of flowers.

The show dances in the space between the generations, bridging the gap with the finest music. There is Dino just Bumming Around in tux, Sammy with beads, dancing looking sharp and hip and Nancy's joyful lyrical paintings. And then there's Franks perfection - beautiful, beautiful...

This show isn't just about Nancy, youth or music. It's about the space where forces meet and magical things happen.
Mark Yoshimoto Nemcoff is a sweetheart.
