And Now, The End Is Near

Okay, it's not really the end, and if it was, I wouldn't be quoting what I consider to be one of the more insipid of Frank Sinatra's recordings. I do, however have some news about the future of this program, at least for the short term.

I've started working on production of a new episode of The Frank Truth on several occasions over the past month or so. I have endless notes, links to news articles, information that people have sent me, books and DVDs that I would like to review - and I just can't seem to put a coherent sentence together about any of it.

I considered blasting out a quick show with either a repackaged older episode or another of the large store of old radio broadcasts that are available, but even that seems more than I can accomplish at this point.

It's not that I have lofty standards or production values. If you listen to the entire archives of The Frank Truth going back nearly six years now, you'll quickly hear that the program has been more about heartfelt sentiment than anything else, and honestly, I suppose that is what's missing right now. I love Sinatra's music and his movies as much as ever, but I find myself without much else to say that has any value.

To the dear friends that I've made as a result of this show, and to the many others who have listened and never gotten in touch, I hate to disappoint you by suspending production of the program, but I would hate, even more, to offer you the results of a half-hearted effort. You deserve better, as does the subject of these Podcasts.

I do intend to continue blogging here from time to time, and hope that I'll be able to start fresh again with new Podcast episodes in a few months. For the time being, however, I think it best to take a step back until I find a renewed and genuine sense of purpose.

In the meanwhile, I will continue to produce some other content that you can find on my main Website at NOEBIE.COM.

My best wishes to all.

Brian
