Watching The Sinatra Miniseries

Warner Home Video sent me a copy of the Sinatra miniseries DVD to review on The Frank Truth. It may be a week or so before I can properly prepare the episode, so in the meantime if you've already seen the picture, please call in with your comments to +1-312-235-2139, or send your review to noebie@gmail.com by email.

I'd love to include your impressions in the show.

I watched this many years ago on television. What strikes me watching it again now is how much it seems to have shaped many of my ideas about Frank Sinatra.

The movie was personally approved by Frank Sinatra - and his daughter Tina was the Executive Producer. It won a Golden Globe Award as "Best Made For TV Movie" in its year of release.

Until the next episode is available, please feel free to browse our archives at the lower right of this site.

My main memory of the miniseries is that they hired the absolutely gorgeous Gina Gershon to play Nancy Sr -- and got somebody pretty generic to play Ava Gardner. Yes, in our memories, our mother is prettier than the movie star.
