Brain Fade

Although Frank Sinatra and Artie Shaw had some things in common (both of them were married to Ava Gardner at some point), it was, of course, Harry James who gave Sinatra his first job fronting a big-name big band. We've talked about this many times in the past on the show, and why I subbed Artie for Harry in the most recent Podcast is baffling. Sometimes I think entire sections of my brain just shut down.

My apologies to anyone who went looking for compilations of Sinatra's work with Artie. There are some great collections of Shaw's band available, but you won't hear Frank's voice on them.

Here's the link for the Complete Harry James.
